Josh Stabiner joined Pine River Capital Management as its first Chief Information Security Officer in December 2014 and has spent the last year assessing and enhancing the cybersecurity function at the $16b global alternative asset manager. Prior to joining Pine River, Josh spent 10 years at Ernst & Young where he led cyber threat management advisory services for financial sector clients. In this capacity, Josh assisted clients in designing and improving their cybersecurity programs, particularly functions related to threat intelligence, security monitoring, red team testing and incident management. From 2003 to 2004, he worked as a graduate student with the Institute for Security Technology Studies where he helped to design cyber war games for the US Department of Defense. Josh earned a BA and MS in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
